Story of Kanunsuz Topraklar (Lawless Lands), It's the year 1939. In Zonguldak, the coal city, there is a mining town. Malik, a wealthy man in his fifties, owns the mine. Malik's exploitation scheme grew more and richer over time, particularly during the conflict. Davut, the protagonist, lives with his parents and siblings in this small town. Davut shoots Malik as a result of an accident on the mine. Davut travels to Malik's residence after this incident and receives an unexpected offer. Malik will not denounce him to the authorities in exchange for Davut doing his dirty work for him. Davut accepts the offer in order to eliminate the corrupt system from the inside. When Gulfem, Malik's daughter, sees him one day, she is taken aback.
